Your master bedroom should be your sanctuary. And bedroom styling is all about creating a restful and relaxing environment to unwind at the end of a long day. With these design tips it’s possible to create a dream space, no matter how big or small your room might be!
There are a few key elements that every bedroom needs to have. The first being a bed of course!
There are so many options to choose from when it comes to beds. A timber bedhead and frame gives a clean and modern look and is also a great option for allergy sufferers as it can be easily cleaned. An upholstered bedhead provides a little dose of luxury and also adds a feeling of warmth and cosiness.
Upholstered beds come in a large range of fabric options – so there is sure to be an option that works with your colour palette.
Bedside tables are another essential. In a master bedroom go for an option that provides some storage – either drawers, shelves or a combination of both. Your space will be far more relaxing without any clutter in sight. Your bedside table should be roughly the same height as your bed when it’s made. While a little variation is OK, if it’s too tall or short in relation to your bed, then the proportions will be wrong.
Bedside lamps are the perfect way to bring some personality into your master bedroom. If your bedhead has some height then you can go for taller lamps to fill out the space. Be mindful that you don’t want to take up too much of the space on top of your bedside table.
Bedding and cushions are another way to bring your master bedroom to life. For a relaxing and harmonious look, choose sheets and quilt covers in soft pastels or muted moody colours.
